THE DESIGN MUSEUM: PORTOBELLO ROAD MARKET

For the Young Creatives program at The Design Museum I was invited as an industry expert to help the kids turn their idea into a real platform which they could use at Portobello Road Market to interact with the public.

Working with the Young Creatives program is really rewarding for me. Many of the participants hadn’t used tools before and working with them gives them a visible confidence in their physical, creative and cooperative abilities.

THE DESIGN MUSEUM: RUBBISH CHAIRS WORKSHOP

After having a great time at my London Design Festival, Rubbish Chairs workshop, I was invited by The Design Museum to re-run it for their Young Creatives program.

I collected discarded objects from the surrounding area and helped the kids in joining them together to make chairs. Making these unique objects helps the participants to think outside the box separating the individual components for their properties instead of their normal application.

It’s my job to help the kids think through making and make some unique stuff.
